Hub drive or mid drive?
The honest answer: it depends on how you ride, and it takes about two minutes on a test ride to feel the difference. The short version:
- Hub drive
- Motor in the wheel. Simpler and more affordable, great for pavement, the greenbelt, and everyday riding.
- Mid drive (and torque sensors)
- Power through the pedals, so it responds to how hard you push. Feels the most like riding a regular bike. Best for hills and trails.
Can I test ride an e-bike in Kingsport?

- Our e-bikes start at $1,199. From there it depends on the motor, battery, and frame: hub-drive commuters sit at the affordable end, mid-drive and carbon-fiber models cost more. We'll walk you through what each price tier actually gets you and help you find the right bike for your budget.

- Yes. We fully service twelve e-bike brands: Aventon, Urtopia, Mokwheel, Hiboy, Himiway, Velotric, Rad Power Bikes, Lectric, Heybike, Velowave, Troxus, and Rambo, plus e-bikes from Trek, Cannondale, Specialized, Giant, and Canyon. Any other e-bike can come in for tires, tubes, brakes, and tune-ups. Our E-Bike Service is $129.99 and includes a full Seasonal Tune.

- Do you offer pickup and delivery for e-bikes?
- Yes. If you can't get your e-bike to us, we'll pick it up and deliver it back when it's ready, anywhere in the Tri-Cities. Just give us a call to arrange it.
